In the last several months I've been working on getting out of the county a bit more. It has been wonderful taking workshops run by fabulous artists and not having to conduct a bunch of them myself. Still the desire to teach continues and now I have been given the opportunity to teach at Crealde in Winter Park, Florida.
I will be teaching a beginner's woodcut class on November 10. It runs from 10-4. Please go to Crealde.org for more details.
My work this spring and summer has intentionally focused on woodcut and woodcut reduction. I love carving both linoleum and wood, but the challenge of wood has captured my heart. The wood grain that peaks through the ink has a special charm.
Another event I have pondered doing is the Fall Festival in Winter Park. This is a stretch for me as I am not one to sit still anywhere for very long. When I have booth information, I will post that for you. The dates are October 12th and 13th. Look forward to seeing fans of printmaking and gaining a few more, hopefully.
As always, the studio is here for you to learn and practice relief printmaking. Get in touch with me and we will make that work!
