My work started in the garage of my house less than 8 years ago. Though I have been an artist all my life, I became engrossed in printmaking after teaching a simple lesson plan on block printing at an international school in China. Once home again, I became dedicated to learning as much as I could about printmaking.
When the opportunity came in 2013 to have a larger space, I jumped at the chance. My work had outgrown the garage and my good friends and husband helped me install the press of my dreams.
Open Press group started in September of 2014, with about 6 members, we now have between 15-20 who come and go as time permits.
HPS is growing by leaps and bounds, artists are experimenting with techniques and learning from each other at the same time.
I will be adding posts and pictures as we go along.
